Abstract

Our proposed paper aims to offer some reflections on the literary influences that have shaped the author’s most publicized crime novel of the francophone Algerian literature in this case Morituri by yasmina Khadra. We will see that writing Khadra meets certain criteria including the traditional detective novel (Raymond Chandler) or modern (Jacques Dubois) by instilling in his narrative an intertext which could be a romantic desire for affiliation based on the principle Chandlerien called "Cannibalized stories".This has opened the novel to a plural reading. We assume that in fact the story of Khadra is enriched by the intertext which leads the reader or critic to detect multiple values make sense.
