Abstract

Books and documents get damaged because of several reasons, which can be intrinsec (paper quality, ink, leather, etc.) or external (environment, handling, storage). The best way to prevent this deterioration is by trying to slow it down or even to stop it through several passive jobs (preservation), or else through their restoration, which means applying a treatment to a book or document in order to return it to its original state. This article is an attempt to present a general overview of the steps followed to repair the book "Oficio de Semana Santa"
