Abstract

     The European Union resorts to the economic colaboration to homogeneizar the regional differences that exist between the member countries, so arranges of Structural Funds through which channels its financial aid for the resolution of structural problems of social and economic kind. They constitute a priority in the European politics of cohesion, in fact, two thirds of the credits of the Structural Funds (that is, more than 135.000 million euros) are destined to the recovery of the most disadvantaged regions.      One of the principal agents is the European Funds about Regional Development (FEDER) that, used like financial instrument for the regional development of the member countries of the EU, has been beneficient and dinamizador of Spain like preferential region for the execution of his aids. In this sense, has collaborated with the Project Cartagena Port of Cultures developed in the province of Murcia, subsidizing the accomplishment of the same one during the period 2001-2004. Cartagena Port of Cultures is a project started up on a set of historic-cultural patrimonial resources that the city of Cartagena has, that it consolidates her like tourist destiny and that enrich the cultural offering of the Region of Murcia.
