Abstract

The new Spanish university is a reality. At our universities, the Bachelor in Tourism degree is giving way to the new degree, and there are a lot of postgraduates. In this scenario, we think it is interesting to present the evolution of studies of Tourism in Spain. We will start with the origins and the process that led them to be included as university courses. Later, we will analyze the state of the Bachelor in Tourism degree today, and finally we will contribute some evidence about the new horizon that will be opened with new degrees, Masters and Doctorates in Tourism.
