VERBO Y ENTORNO VERBAL. ASPECTOS BÁSICOS EN EL MARCO DE LA LINGÜÍSTICA CONTRASTIVA
Abstract
The prime concern in the present work is the verb and its verbal environment from the contrastive point of view of the valency theory. Contrastive and valency parameters will be the central topic. The languages subjected to contrastive analysis are German and Spanish, although the treatment of these two languajes can be extrapolated to other languaje-pairs. The valency parameter is applicable on two fronts: complements and adjuncts. In this paper, special attention is therefore paid to the function served by both valency and non-valency units, the two types being essential for reproducing a given message. Combining various parameters, we shall present the phenomenology that underlies the reproduction of a verbal environment in the other languaje being contrasted. Of special importance is to contrast adjuncts, which are non-valency elements and which from a contrastive point of view can be relevant in a different languaje or can have the appearance of complements.Downloads
