INFLUENCIA DEL INGLÉS DE INTERNET EN LA LENGUA ESPAÑOLA
Abstract
Spanish languaje is enormously influenced by technical English, and more recently by English Internet terminology. This paper studies how English net terms are being introduced into Spanish: first the processes for the generation of new English terminology are considered and then the linguistic devices Spanish languaje resorts to in order to incorporate these new terms into its languaje system. This study has been carried out from a new analytical framework which we have labelled "netlinguistics". This framework studies the use of languaje in Internet in five different levels: the technological level, the terminological level, the discursive level, the contextual level and the ideological one. This papers focuses on examining how Internet technological and Terminological levels have influenced Spanish languaje.Downloads
