Abstract

Centripetal and centrifugal forces concur in every aspect of life. Thus, in the realm of science in general, and of linguistics in particular, there are factors that bring different disciplines closer to one another, and some factors, too, that move them away. Indeed, both forces are well founded. On the one hand, the research object of Morphology, Syntax, or Lexicology, inter alia, is the same, to wit: the language. On the other hand, each of these disciplines approaches the same object of study from a different perspective. This article addresses the relations between Morphology and the other linguistic disciplines. Additionally, the article will expound on those features which underlie the overlapping and the separation between Morphology and the «neighbouring» disciplines.
