Abstract
The main purpose of the present research is deepening in the essence of ambiguity conception, caused by the polysemy, by identifying this phenomenon and searching in the history of its emerging, in addition to study of its different types and the prominent effect on the field of speech. We have decided to apply it on the literary work, as always the literary author tends to use phenomenon of polysemy intentionally, in order to shadow on air of ambiguity on his literary work; on contrary to the author of scientific books who always searches for utilizing unilateral meaning pronunciations, to facilitate the process of the ordinary reader to understand his scientific subject. For that purpose, the story of the other has been selected for analyses from the book Novels, written by the Argentinean author George Luis Borges.Downloads
