THE CASTIGATIONS OF PLINII AND ARS MEDICAMENTARIA OF NEBRIJA
Abstract
The medical vocabulary which Antonio de Nebrija adds to his edition of the Latin translation, by Ioannis Ruellius, of Dioscorides’ De materia medica is an alphabetical index of the titles of its chapters. But there are other entries with no indication of either book or chapter. This article inventories many of those entries and shows they were mostly taken from the Glossemata of Pliny’s Castigationes, by Hermolaus Barbarus.Downloads
