Names of Fabrics in the Waaren-Lexicon in zwölf Sprachen by Ph. A. Nemnich (1797)
Abstract
This article is a sample of the Spanish part of the lexicon of goods, Lexicon in zwölf Waaren-Sprachen by Ph. A. Nemnich (1797). It contains only the names of fabrics included in this work. The study covers formal, etymological, grammatical and historical observations. The main goal is not only to edit this unknown lexicographical material but, at the same time, to broaden the knowledge of linguistic and historical nature of this lexical field.
