Expressions For The Traditional Grammar Adverbial Subordinates Of Time In The Grammatical Work of Eduardo Benot
Abstract
The present article expects constitute a contribution to the Spanish linguistic historiography, in its aspect gramaticográfica, and, specifically, to the study of the calls’ expressions for the traditional grammar adverbial subordinates of time in the grammatical work of Eduardo Benot. The study analyses these links and locutions in the three principals grammars of the linguist from Cádiz (1824-1907): Brief jottings preparatory for the study of the languages? (1852?), the Architecture of the languages, 3RD vols, (1889) and, finally, the Art of talking. Philosophic grammar of the language from Castile (1910), posthumous work. Results demonstrate the depth of the theory of Benot, academician from 1887, although its fruitful influence will happen unnoticed in the GRAE of this phase. Although, in the end, the edition, reformed of 1917, added some essential principles of the grammatical theory, between them the ones specific to the expression of subordinated calls adverbial, general, and of those of time, in particular.Downloads
