Visions of Reality.
Abstract
Contemporary digital media have so far centred on human beings, from the development of computer graphics and virtual reality systems that replicate and extend our sense of vision and spatial perception, to social networks that enhance human interaction. Today, we are part of a complex physical and digital ecology that includes diverse world cultures and the natural environment. This talk will discuss the development of visual and multimodal media with a look forward in time, and some of the potentialities and limitations in the context of current world conditions.Downloads
