Film and its Resonance in Space: Expanded Cinema in Contemporany Spain.
Abstract
The most significant development in the Spanish experimental filmmaking of the past decade has been the emergence and evolution of a series of works which, by exploring the potentialities of direct intervention in the act of projection, define themselves as the critical inheritance of expanded cinema. This study investigates contemporary experiences heir to earlier expanded cinema by contextualizing them in relation to the challenging convergence of experimental film and the phenomenon of the dematerialization of art, as well as its intricate historical establishment in Spain.Downloads
