Abstract

Classical myths are a recurrent subject in Picasso’s work. He considered myths to be a mere excuse, since he re-created them so personally that the result often is in something very different from his starting point. This attitude can surely be explained as a consequence of the desire of liberty that guided the artist in his life and in his work
