Abstract

In this paper we have attempted to reveal the similarities between the work of two poets, one of them Latin and the other one Spanish: Propertio and Quevedo. For this purpose, we have chosen some of their most representative poems, those that show the different stages of their loving feelings and how two women, Cynthia and Lisis, were the main characters in their lives and in their literary work, and in which way we can perceive the most hidden sentiments from their souls: passion, jealous, disdain, spite.
