Abstract

We start by revising the most important aspects which the work exhibits. Afterwards we focus on the Unguistical features we consider more relevant, by discerning the language of the Ionic prose written in indirect style and that of the hexameters told by Homer. We study: a-) phonetics and morphology; b-) syntax of the optative mood; c-) vocabulary (hapax legomena, rare and late terms). It follows a list of the first features of its style, and the study of the proper names, which are sometimes speaking names, and come for the most part from Homeric origin. Finally we draw some conclusions by comparing this life with other contemporary works.
