Abstract

The article provides the first edition of an early mediaeval Ars medicinalis de animalibus preserved in three manuscripts, Sankt Gallen, Stiftsbibliothek, 217; London, British Library, Harley 4986; and Wien, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, 187. The edition is preceded by an introduction whose main points are the manuscript tradition, the sources and the transmission problems of the Latin text.
