Abstract

This paper focuses upon Apuleius’ Florida, a group of lectures delivered by Apuleius in front of an audience, in which we find scientific content on various disciplines. The philosophical and technical contents of the Metamorphoses, the Apologia, De Deo Socratis, and the works attributed to him suggest the idea of Apuleius as an author of works relevant to the study of classical science.
