Abstract

This article represents the second step of our study on the semantics of preverbs in Lysias, Antiphon, Isaeus, and Andocides. It examines the fundamental value and the special features of the preverbs ἐπίί, κατάά, παράά, πρόός. This approach highlights the most representative uses of preverbs, their common fundamental values and their characteristics, as well as the extent to which the fundamental value of one such preverb can become a special feature for another preverb.
