The Greek epitaph of Sabinos, with Seleucid date
Abstract
In these pages I study an unpublished funerary monument, most likely from Seleucia on the Euphrates (Zeugma), which has been circulating for decades in the antiquarian art market. It has the particularity of being dated by the Seleucid calendar. We propose that the epitaph of the young Sabinus is dated to the month of February of the year 39 of our Era.
