Data On The Convent Of Carmelitas Calzados In Granada And The Hospital Of San Sebastián From The Inventories Of The Disentailment Of 1836
Abstract
This paper provides information about the convent of Carmelitas Calzados and the Hospital de San Sebastián in Granada, both of which were confiscated in 1836. Through the disentailment files, we recreate what their churches were like, data that is mostly unknown due to the disappearance or modification of the buildings over time. While the first of these is the current town hall, the second was demolished. We also try to provide references of where some of the belongings of these institutions ended up in the distribution that was made at the time.
