Abstract

The baroque churches of the city of Murcia represent a crucial chapter of his historical legacy. Too many features. Usually, they offer the same type, essentially the plan of a Latin cross with side chapels, a model inherited from the Church of the Counter-Reformation, which will be interpreted in accordance with local traditions. Despite its functionality, searched some aesthetic values in their great masses and lighting. Were Baroque thanks mainly to the decoration and certain elements, such as headlines, even accuse the influence of the Baroque international. This is manifested fully in the church oval St. John of God.
