LAS OBRAS NEOCLÁSICAS DE LA PARROQUIA DE SAN LÁZARO DE ALHAMA
Abstract
The works carried out by the end of the 18th, century in the Parish Church of San Lorenzo, in Alhama de Murcia, after designs by the architect Don Lorenzo Alonso, are one of the first representations of Neoclassicism in the ancient diocese of Cartagena. The realization of the works involved a curious confrontation between tradition and the new academic order, which did finally prevail. The works consisted basically of the building of a new sacristy with un upper side-chapel and a wide chapel of the Communion, besides other reformations inside the church.Downloads
