Abstract
Consideraciones en torno al primer manual dc Teoria e Historia del Arte publicado en España en 1894 con destino al bachillerato. Su autor, Hermenrgildo Giner de los Ríos, vinculado con la Institución Libre de Enseñanza, muestra a través de sus páginas el grado de desarrollo de la historia del arte en nuestro pais en los últimos años del siglo XIX, fusionando una concepción idealista del arte, derivada de postulados románticos, con los nuevos planteamientos positivistas. Destaca, asimismo, su contribución a la fundamentación científica de esta disciplina al afirmar el carácter inseparable de los fundamentos teórico-filosóficos con sus manifestacioncs plásticas.Downloads
