Abstract
Washi traditional hand-made paper, was born as arionyinous and popular skill of the japonese people to comunicate with the spiritual world and the arts. With the passage of time it has become one of the clearest and most genuine expression of the japanese culture, as well as one og the most versatile ways of contemporary art. This report explores the key events of the history of washi manufacture and tries to approach some of the factors that explain its enduring value.Downloads
