VIAJES Y VIAJEROS EN BAEZA A FINALES DEL SIGLO XVIII. APROXIMACIÓN ARTÍSTICO-LITERARIA
Abstract
The Renaissance monumental ensemble of Baeza has been recently inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The town faces a serious crisis. however from the 17th century. of which scems that it pretends to resurge during the Enlightenment. This situation inamtamed it outside of all travelling circuits, far away from what nowadays Baeza supposes becan be of its historical and cultural legacy. During the last third of the 18th century a little but select group of travellers and writers visited and studied this place. leaving written testimony of tlheir particular vision of its urban and artistic heritage. and contributing to the development of a genere, the travel journals. and served as vehicle for the recovery of the Spanish culture.Downloads
