LAS CÚPULAS DE MUQARNAS: CONSIDERACIONES GENERALES ACERCA DE SU SIMBOLOGÍA
Abstract
The domes of muqarnas utilized y the Islamic architecture, they are created like loaded creations of an enormous originality and beauty. Tlic employment of these vaults of hanging prisms, enjoyed great success from the 11th century, being becoming sign distinctive and unmistakable sign of the Islamic art. Thc reasons that they carried to the systematic utilization of the muqarnas, above all in the domes, they are an aspect still without resolving before the absence of some source or document that could report us of a possible incaning of the muqarnas. Nevertlicless, diversc historians have wanted to interpret the domes of muqarnas as representations of the heavenly vault basing on thc theory of the accidentalismo of a-Baquillani.Downloads
