#TeacherAttidudes: Teacher Attitudes towards a educative use of social networks
Abstract
Although the use of social networks for social purposes is pervasive, their use in educational institutions is still very limited. With the aim of finding out how future teachers perceive these new possibilities of interaction, we looked at the attitudes of a group of university students enrolled in infant and primary education degrees toward the use of social networks as educational tools. The data showed that, although the participants’ attitudes were generally positive, they practically knew nothing about the use of social networking for educational purposes. We conclude that this lack of knowledge might eventually dissuade them from using social networks in their future teaching practice.
