How do students see the trajectory of an object? The Analysis of Images with the help of “graphs”
Abstract
In this paper, we wonder how we “look at” or interpret the physical rality in our own way. In particular, we have analysed how the trajectory of the thing is perceived. The method of working was that 150 pupils looked at the same facts and then we saked them to describe what they had “seen”. In order to make quite sure they looked at the same facts we made a video-record that had got some fragments of television about falls and throws. How do we interpret the reality? This question is very important when we try to tell, to transmit, to teach or to learn something about physical reality. For this reason, we ask ourselves: Are we sure that we all perceive the same when we “see” a natural fact?Downloads
