Habilidades para la vida a través del deporte: evidencia de la influencia de los componentes del desarrollo positivo juvenil

Resumen
El estudio investigó la relación entre dos modelos de Desarrollo Juvenil Positivo: las 5C y la transferencia de habilidades, examinando su papel facilitador (competencia, confianza, conexión, cuidado y carácter). Participaron 208 atletas (12-24 años; M = 19.1 ± 2.67; 51.4% hombres). Un análisis de potencia muestral (G*Power, α = 0.005) garantizó robustez. Dos análisis se realizaron: (1) Correlación de Pearson, con relaciones significativas (r = 0.27 a 0.60; p < .05); y (2) Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales, donde competencia (53%), confianza (54%), conexión (62%), cuidado (27%) y carácter (45%) explicaron la varianza en la transferencia. La integración de ambos modelos avanza la aplicación del desarrollo positivo en el deporte, al mostrar correlaciones significativas y que fortalecer las 5C incrementa la transferencia. Su uso en programas deportivos podría potenciar resultados adaptativos y saludables.
