LOOKING AT NORTH: CLASS, GENDER AND ETHNICITY IN TNEW FRUITCULTURE REGIONS OF BRAZIL
Abstract
This paper examines aspects of the globalisation of agro-food systems, emphasizing socioeconomic changes that take place in new fruitculture regions oriented to the North markets, according to dimensions of class, gender and etnicity. The productive strategies used by the actors to attend the requirements of fruit quality and the context of global /local relations are analysed , based on research carried out in the Northeast Brazil.Downloads
