Abstract

Diversos estudios han encontrado una relación entre la función ejecutiva, los problemas de conducta y la competencia social. Sin embargo, hasta este momento, pocos estudios han investigado el papel de los distintos componentes de la función ejecutiva en la competencia social, o en los problemas de comportamiento más frecuentes en la educación infantil. Por esta razón, el objetivo principal de este artículo es evaluar la relación de las funciones ejecutivas con los problemas de conducta y la competencia social en la infancia. El estudio incluyó 260 estudiantes, de 5 años. Los resultados del análisis de ruta demostraron que todos los componentes de las funciones ejecutivas predicen, al menos, un problema de comportamiento. Sin embargo, solo los déficits en flexibilidad y memoria de trabajo predijeron adaptabilidad y habilidades sociales. En conclusión,

Miriam Romero López es licenciada en Educación Infantil y en Psicopedagogía por la Universidad de Granada, España. Tiene una Maestría en Psicología de la Intervención Social y actualmente está trabajando en un Ph.D. en Psicología, de la Universidad de Granada. Ella está desarrollando su Ph.D. a través de una Beca de Formación para Docentes Universitarios otorgada por el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte de España.

María-Carmen Pichardo, University of Granada

 

Mª Carmen Pichardo, profesora del Departamento de Psicología del Desarrollo y la Educación de la Universidad de Granada. Su investigación se centra en el estudio de habilidades cognitivas y afectivas, desarrollo social y prevención y programas de intervención psicoeducativa. Ha publicado una gran cantidad de artículos científicos en revistas como Psicothema, Self e Identity, Anales de Psicología, The Spanish Journal of Psychology, International Journal of Science Education o Revista de Psicodidáctica.

Sonia Ingoglia, University of Palermo

Sonia Ingoglia, Profesora Asistente de Psicometría en la Universidad de Palermo. El Prof. Ingoglia tiene un Ph.D. en Psicología General y Clínica de la Universidad de Palermo titulado "Desarrollo de la autonomía emocional durante la adolescencia", tutorizado por la Prof. Alida Lo Coco. Su área de especialización es la capacitación metodológica: análisis de datos, metodología multivariante, ecuaciones estructurales y modelos longitudinales de análisis. El Dr. Ingoglia ha visitado varios en la Universidad de California en Los Ángeles (California, EE. UU.). En el año 2000 asistió a un curso impartido por el profesor Bengt Muthén titulado "Análisis estadístico con variables latentes" y en 1998 dirigió el curso impartido por el profesor Peter M. Bentler titulado "Análisis multivariante con variables latentes".
