Preservation and conservation work in the Guadalupe Sánchez Sosa film archive
Abstract
This article talks about the labours of preservation and conservation in the Guadalupe Sánchez Sosa film archive, starting with an explanation of what film archives are and the contributions that the archival turn has given to it’s conceptualization. Following with the definition of the preservation and conservation concepts, in addition to the works of this kind that are usually realized in the film archive, as well as their implementation in the GSS archive for the safeguarding of the cinematographic documents. Finally, the results of this archive are presented.
