Abstract

The research area concerning irreligiosity in Greece has not been analyzed as much as other aspects of the Greek world, due to the exegetical orientation of the explanatory models and the complexity of the topic itself. By means of an overall methodological review, this article attempts to carry out a study that shows the scientific and critical update of the essential bibliography, the analysis of texts selected because of their relevance and, additionally, a new consideration of the Greek and Roman ideas on irreligiosity in Classical Athens.
