Abstract

Three manuscripts of Castilian commercial arithmetics, studied in the last ten years, have been brought together to try and extract their value for the study of medieval trade history. They constitute the basis of novel trading techniques, and moreover the varied and practical problem exercises proposed in them constitute an adequate source of historical data.
