FEMINIST THOUGHTS ON THE CONFRONTATION AGRIFOOD GLOBALIZATION VS. FOOD SOVEREIGNTY
Abstract
In a context characterized by the increasing commodification of food and nature, this article intends to reflect, from a feminist perspective, on the confrontation that exists between the logic of globalized agro-food system and the proposal of food sovereignty. This paper proposes the need to overcome the current androcentric bias in agricultural studies making visible the gender implications that both models include. It also proposes some feminist theoretical premises and to rethink the study frame of the agro-food systems from a broader framework of social reproduction of life and from an approach that underlines particular practices and social relations
