THE OROUGHTS ANO ITS IMPACT IN THE OESERTIFICATION ON SEGURA BASIN. NOTES TO MANAGEMENT ANO WATER SUSTAINABILITY
Abstract
Like in other Mediterranean semiarid lands with cronical hydric deficit, the traumatisms induced by droughts show multiples faces: losses of crops, reduction of the cultivated area, problems of supply, weakness of the vegetables masses, fires, spoilt of soils and water, social conflicts, increase of the risk of desertification, etc. The adaptation to this meteorological situations, the development of methods and techniques of use and management of the natural resources, risk of permanent droughts, the education for drought and aridity, become essential needs. The risk could be minimized with environmental and economic policies that adapt its interventions to the acceptance and prevision of this climatic and environment facts.
