THE ARIA ANDALUCIAN IRRIGATION LANAS (19 TH AND 20 TH CENTURIES) EXPANSION, BLOCKING AND TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
This paper analyzes the growth of the irrigated surfaces in the arid Andalusia during the 19th and 20th centuries. We present a periodization proposal. Firstly we study a stage of expansion of traditional irrigation systems. In second place, we analyze a blockade phase and finally a great transformation based on new technology and institutions.
