SOME QUESTIONS AROUND THE AGRARIAN CREDIT IN ANDALUSIA (1800-1936)
Abstract
In this article the problems are exposed for the development of the agrarian credit in Andalusia before the Civil War. It is a topic little studied in the historiography, but of great importance in the analysis of the scarce regional agrarian development. We highlight the survival in traditional ways of credit in an imperfect market in which the relationships personal and old institutions like the "pósitos" prevail after the liberal reform. The problems are also approached for the development of the agricultural specialization and for the commercial agriculture for the absence of an efficient financial system, after the crisis of final of the 19th century. Finally, the difficulties are mentioned for the expansion of the credit low cooperative forms in Andalusia.
