AGRICULTURAL LABOUR MARKET IN COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA GLOBAL BALANCE VERSUS SEASONAL ANO INBALANCCES
Abstract
The present article tries to determine the macroeconomic balance occurring between supply and demand of agricultural labour both in the Valencian Region and provincial level. This balanced situation is due to the irregular work that hides most important location imbalances, both at local -counties- and temporary -monthly- levels. For that reason the proper analysis of this market lays in the analysis of seasonal and space components of supply and demand of agricultural work, by means of an estimation arising from individual interviews, since released statistical information at the local and monthly required levels does not exist. Thus, given to the seasonal pattern and location of pick-necessities of demand of agricultural labour, it is needed flexible labour availability both in time and location, requirements that the supply registered by statistics of agricultural work can not cover.
