Abstract

This paper presents the important mining heritage that is the region of Murcia. The importance that has had this business, especially in the Sierra de Cartagena-La Union and Mazarrón in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, has left some mining areas that should be the subject of a heritage policy. It has taken important steps but there is still enough action to protect and recover the remains that has left this activity.
