Abstract

Recent excavations at different sites within the territory of Segobriga, provide new data on the production of wine and oil in roman altoimperial times. Excavations at places like La Peña II, Llanos de Pinilla, Vallejos and Homes Luján, have allowed identified areas of manufacturing of these products. They are rural villages of agricultural/ transformer type, with a pars rustica and fructuaria and some with a pars urbana. In Los Vallejos, Casas de Lujan Lujan and Rasero de Lujan, has been documented also an important pottery activity, highlighting the production of regional typology amphoras, that are modeled after Oberaden 74 and are used to transport wine produced locally.
