IONOGRAM AND SERUM ENZYMES IN TRANSHUMANT MERINO SHEEP

Abstract

The following sanguineous parameters were analysed in 40 ewe lambs aged up to 1 year, 41 aged between 1 and 2 years, 51 aged betwen 2 and 3 years, 50 aged between 3 and 4 years, and 46 ewes over 4 years old in anoestrus, oestrus and gestation: calcaemia, phosphataemia, magnesaemia, sodaemia and potasaemia, as well as the activity of the acid and alkaline phosphatases, S.G.O.T., S.G.P.T. and the activity of the a-amylase. The most remarkable finding is the increase of Ca and P levels during gestation.
