Visceral emerges as a critical and plural space for thought around the arts, their pedagogies, and their contemporary manifestations. In this first issue, we encourage the submission of contributions on the following thematic areas:

Thematic Areas for Issue 1

For this inaugural issue, we invite contributions that address—from diverse perspectives and multiple methodologies—the following areas:

· Contemporary artistic pedagogies Experiences, methodologies, and reflections on teaching-learning in visual, performing, and musical arts.

· Art, education, and social transformation Community artistic practices, activist art, and collaborative creation.

· Body, affect, and sensoriality in art education Performance and other actions.

· Technologies, arts, and new educational environments Digital art, networked education, expanded realities, and their pedagogical implications.

· Cultural policies and artistic curriculum Critical analyses of institutionality, regulations, and frameworks that shape arts education.

· Artistic research and creative methodologies Epistemological reflections on research from and with the arts.

· Childhoods, youth, and creation Experiences and thought around artistic practices with children and adolescents.
