Efectos de los ejercicios aeróbicos sobre la condición física de los niños de escuela primaria

Resumen

Los efectos de los ejercicios aeróbicos sobre la condición física en niños en edad escolar aún no se han examinado en el contexto de Vietnam. El objetivo de este estudio fue verificar los efectos de los ejercicios aeróbicos sobre la condición física de los niños de escuela primaria. Este estudio fue un ensayo controlado que involucró a 64 niños de tercer grado de primaria, todos de 8 años de edad, de la ciudad de Vinh, Vietnam. Los participantes participaron voluntariamente y fueron asignados aleatoriamente al grupo de ejercicio aeróbico (GA) o al grupo de control (GC), con 32 niños en cada grupo (16 varones y 16 niñas por grupo). Se realizaron cinco pruebas de condición física: fuerza de prensión manual (fuerza de la parte superior del cuerpo), abdominales en 30 segundos (resistencia abdominal), salto de longitud desde posición de pie (potencia de las piernas), carrera de 30 metros (velocidad) y carrera de ida y vuelta de 4×10 m (agilidad). Después de ocho semanas de intervención, el grupo de ejercicio aeróbico (GA) mostró mejoras significativamente mayores que el grupo de control (GC) en la fuerza de las extremidades superiores e inferiores, la fuerza abdominal, la velocidad, el control corporal y la resistencia (p < 0.05). Estos hallazgos sugieren que el ejercicio aeróbico mejora eficazmente la fuerza muscular, la velocidad, la agilidad y la resistencia general en los niños de escuela primaria.
