Analysis of scientific output about cognitive effects of physical activity on Alzheimer’s disease
Abstract
This study pretend to analyse the scientific literature published regarding cognitive effects of physical activity on people with Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
Papers which treat mainly the cognitive effects of physical activity on people with AD were searched for, finally founding 35 papers. Concerning the temporal evolution, a growing trend of publications is observed. It is noteworthy the variety and heterogeneity of main authors and journals. Geographically, the countries with more publications are United States and Brazil towering above the rest.
Taking these results into account, we can conclude the study of the effects produced on by physical activity is a field relatively new we must go deeply into it.
