Abstract

During second half of 13th century, the Christian Conquest of Vinalopó’s Valley (Alicante) has enabled to form a large feudal property, in the old Sharq Al-Andalus, in the lands of the Muslim King of Murcia. That valley belongs now to the well known family of the Manueles, specifically related to the new Christian King, Alfonso X el Sabio. After several historical controversies (military, political, nobility, economic, ecclesiastical), the large property which was further south goes from Castilian to Aragonese crown, in the early 14th century.
