Abstract

This paper draws a portrait of the life and work of Professor Julio Valdeón Baruque from three complementary perspectives. The first one focuses on individual memories and on the deep imprint he left in the University of Valladolid as reflected in the authors’ personal experiences. The second one involves a brief biographical and academic sketch of Julio Valdeón. And the third one provides a thematically arranged presentation of the late scholar’s output –both historiographic and divulgative.
