Revalorización del patrimonio termal en la Región de Murcia. El Balneario de Archena: historia y arquitectura
Abstract
The focus of this paper is the Balneario de Archena. First, we have made a historical tour of the place. It will serve us to identify the type of the architecture in its context. The architectural evidence is reflected on the studies of their main buildings, such as the Hotel Termas and the Ermita de la Virgen de la Salud, outstanding examples of artistic environment that existed in the nineteenth century Spain. At that time it merged the variety and different styles with the domestic architecture. Futhermore, architects like Francisco Enríquez y Ferrer and José María Aguilar y Vela are some of the main exponents of this contemporary architecture as a result of this we have a unique a very remarkable in Balneario de Archena.
