About the Journal
Scope and content
Imafronte, created in 1985, is a journal that provides its contents in immediate open access and full text, under the principle that allowing free access to the results of research results in a greater exchange of knowledge globally. The scope of the journal is thus limited to the possibility of access to digital platforms where each issue is offered. The journal is open to researchers from the international scientific community who deal with topics related to Art History, both Spanish and international. It is aimed at the university community, researchers, experts and art professionals, as well as all those interested in the subject matter of the journal. It is published annually.
As for the contents, the materials are structured in two aspects: a specific one, with proposals that focus on the different aspects of the history of art itself, and an interdisciplinary one, since there are many cross-cutting themes that are also contemplated in the publication.
The fundamental objective, in this respect, is to convey those original and unpublished researches that support, from different points of view, the studies of art history and other matters that, in one way or another, are related to it. The perspectives of the materials that make up Imafronte are, therefore, diverse.
The journal does not require any fee or payment from authors for receiving or publishing articles.
